DIOR 'Rouge Gradient' Spring 2017 MakeUp Collection

Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, celebrates a color-loaded spring season by revisiting the “gradient makeup” trend in the Colour Gradation collection, embodied by the model Lindsey Wixson, the House's newest beauty looks ambassador.

Discover the two healthy shades Rising Pink 002 and Radiant Nude 001 of Diorskin Nude Air Colour Gradation from the Spring Collection 2017.

The principle of “gradient makeup”? Clashing colors and fading shades to allow for the boldest of looks. It's a trend that Peter Philips reinvents according to the art of color that has always been the Dior makeup signature. The lips are worked up in different shades of pink to evoke a bee-stung mouth, the eyelids exhibit a spectrum that's alternately soft and electric, a tie-dye effect sets cheekbones alive. The Colour Gradation look offers the freedom of total experimentation, from subtly faded shades that melt into the skin’s natural tone, to the most out-there effects.

In a look that gives color pride of place, voluptuous lips illuminate the face. To achieve a subtly sophisticated effect, in which the pigments seem to be one with the shade of the lips, Peter Philips has devised a lipstick 2.0: Rouge Gradient. Using its double foam tip, first apply the lightest shade as a base, before applying a more intense touch to the center of the lips.

The layering creates a melting gradation with a powdered matte finish, which can be adjusted according to mood and desire, and which is achieved with one of the three available versions, Pink, Red or Purple. Eyes are also ultra-pigmented thanks to the Colour Gradation palette. Available in Blue Gradation or Coral Gradation, it comes with a motif reminiscent of the pleats with which Christian Dior liked to give his dresses movement, just as the gradation of the shades gives life to color.

'Splendor' by DIOR MakeUp Christmas Collection

DIOR Holidays Made for Stars
For this winter and the accompanying festive season Peter Philips, the Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup, has designed Splendor, a limited-edition makeup collection inspired by the sequins embellishing the House’s haute couture creations, with lips and eyes competing to out-shine each other, allowing the wearer to create a sparkling and intense festive look.
Season's inspirations! The Christmas look "Splendor" Collection is a journey into beauty, glamour and DIOR Savoir-Faire.

For the Splendor look, Philips has conceived a sophisticated beauty aesthetic in the manner of an haute couture garment, in which both lips and eyes come to sparkling life. Lips and cheekbones are swept with a colored and matte fine velvety veil by the new Diorific Matte Fluid. With its jewel-like packaging, it comes in four essential shades – the soft pink Marvel, the bright fuchsia Treasure, the bois de rose Pleasure, and an incandescent red, Luxury. As the marker of a colorful and flamboyant femininity, Diorific Lipstick has been reinvented for the season in five rich hues with a matte finish, including a collector shade, Golden, which can be worn alone or layered with another to create a magnetic finish.

Ultimate Glamour with Ondria Hardin, a vision of sophisticate feminity liberated by a stunning palette of shades and effects. A bold, radiant and ultra-pigmented makeup that mix matte and satiny hues for a free and audacious beauty.

Eyes are given a sculptured look using shades from the 5 Couleurs palette, coming in precious metal tones with Smoky Sequins – white, silver and anthracite around a bronze gold – or Precious Embroidery – a grouping of pink, mauve and dark purple around a rose gold. The complexion echoes this festive and sparkling spirit through the very fine texture of Diorific Splendor, which enhances facial bone structure, or a touch of Diorblush Splendor, whose apricot nuance suits all skin tones and lights up the skin with pearlescent shimmer.
News stars in the DIOR Christmas galaxy! Flaunt a bold look right up to your nails with Diorific Vernis. 5 new statement colours with sequined accords and pearly effects.

From top to bottom Precious 779, Splendor 850, Nova 001, Cosmic 899 and Golden 328.

Stars in your eyes in sync with the season, the emblematic 5 Couleurs palette 'Splendor' Edition bears the sequin motif inspired by the work of the DIOR Haute Couture ateliers. Available in 2 precious shades, Smoky Sequins 006 and Precious Embroidery 776.

Season's essential, the new Diorific Matte Fluid combines glamour & simplicity. Stunning shades, easy to use application and perfect definition of colour for lips and cheeks. You can dare with DIOR!

To develop these pallets and compacts, Peter Philips, inspired by the virtuosity of the House’s expertise in haute couture, turned to the Vermont atelier, which regularly collaborates with Dior on embroidery for dresses and suits. The Creative and Image Director of Dior Makeup commissioned it to produce an exclusive embroidery for Splendor, with the Dior name traced out in gold sequins. The motif was then used when compressing the powder. This balance between couture and beauty can be found throughout the collection, as the colors borrow their richness from luxurious fabrics, extending to the Diorific Vernis that coats nails in five colors with warm or icy sequinned effects that allude to lamé evening wear.
When Couture meets makeup! Focus on the new Diorific Splendor powder and its DIOR logo embroidered with a "thread" of gold sequin adornments. Add a touch of gold on your cheeks, facial contours and décolleté for a bold and glovy effect.

LA PERLA - 20% Off for Black Friday

LA PERLA - Black Friday, this year the concept of the LA PERLA offer is based on BLACK on Black Friday and black as an Iconic colour that never goes out of fashion.

Enjoy 20% discount on selected black products and about 200 styles.

LoL, Andrea!

In July 2015, La Perla Atelier presented their 1st Haute Couture collection which revealed a tantalizing glimpse of their breathtaking Inside-Out Spring/Summer 2015 collection in the opulent and intimate salon setting of Paris's Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. Exploring the notion of ‘what we keep secret and what we reveal’, it represented ‘the underpinnings of the external image’.

Behind the scenes of the LA PERLA Atelier couture show,
Emiliano Rinaldi adding the finishing touches

Attended by style luminaries, and including a rare catwalk appearance by catwalk goddess Naomi Campbell, the rapturous reception confirmed La Perla’s Spring/Summer 2015 success. A clever mix of sublimely elegant, smoking-hot-sexy and box-fresh-sporty, it was designed to suit the athletic woman who likes to dress and undress to impress.

La Perla’s uniqueness lies in the breathtaking dexterity displayed in artisanal skills such as nervures (tiny folds of fabric painstakingly created by hand) and embroidery using the meticulous frastaglio technique (traditional Florentine flat-stitch done entirely by hand). When combined with the genius idea of twinning classically structured retro long-line bras, high-waisted knickers, bustiers, girdles and bodysuits with second-skin zippered baseball jerseys and Neoprene shorts, cutout hoodies and flowing sheer skirts, the result was breathtaking and formidable.

Models wafted past shod in embellished ankle boots and silk platform heels, showing a succession of exquisitely layered, billowing shapes worn with close-fitting garments in silk blended with linen and cotton, satin, lace and tulle. Generous applications of crystal embellishment seemed to light up the models as they walked beneath the chandeliers.

Dramatic black was the key shade, accentuated by dashes of sky blue, red, coral, white, hazel and nude. Feathers and crystal motifs were enhanced by metallic elements and pure gold thread, as well as intricately embroidered floral motifs. Bra and suspender straps were encrusted with diamonds or rubies, transforming them into items of precious jewelry. Visible seams and boning lines, highlighted by canny crystal application, seemed to strip away outer layers to reveal the garments’ essential architecture, while metal belt fasteners and suspender straps were also on show to emphasise the ‘inside out’ theme.

Unimaginably sophisticated, authentically haute couture, dreamy yet wearable, we witnessed seminal components in the La Perla Spring/Summer 2015 collection that have set a new standard in couture lingerie.
